• Parent/guardian name

• Phone number (used for OTP login)

Child Information (entered voluntarily by you)

• Child's first name or nickname
• Date of birth (to track age and milestones)
• Diagnosis (e.g., Autism, ADHD — optional)
• Therapy types (ABA, Speech, Occupational, etc.)

Therapy & Session Data

• Session dates, times, and durations
• Therapist names and notes
• Goals and activities
• Progress logs and mood entries

App Usage Data

• Features you use and how often
• Device type and operating system
• Crash reports and error logs

Payment Information

We do not collect or store your payment details. All payments are handled securely by Apple In-App Purchases.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Sync your data securely across devices
• Display therapy session history and progress
• Personalise the app experience for your child's needs
• Improve app features based on usage patterns
• Send important account notifications (e.g., password reset)

We do not use your child's data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.

All your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, a trusted cloud platform used by millions of apps worldwide.

• Access to your data is restricted to your account only
• We use Firebase Authentication to ensure only you can access your account

We respect your trust.

• We do not sell your personal data or your child's data to anyone.
• We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing companies.
• We may share data with trusted service providers (like Firebase/Google) only to operate the App — these providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
• We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of users.

6. Children's Privacy

MySpecialKid is designed for parents and guardians — not for use by children directly.

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
• All child-related data is entered and controlled solely by the parent or guardian account holder.
• If you believe your child has provided personal information directly, please contact us at hello@myspecialkid.com and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

As a user, you have the right to:

• Access — View all data we hold about you and your child
• Correct — Update inaccurate or incomplete information at any time in the App
• Delete — Request full deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting hello@myspecialkid.com
• Export — Request a copy of your data
• Withdraw Consent — Stop using the App and request data deletion at any time

We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days. Anonymised, non-identifiable usage data may be retained for app improvement purposes.
